4 Medals by RFC Fencers
The Rockland Fencers Club (RFC) had another productive weekend with 4 medals in 4 different events at two different tournaments. The Bobrow brothers Logan & Silas each earned a medal in their respective age groups (Cadet Mens Foil & Y8 Mixed Foil) at the Garden State RYC, as well as, Peter Shine who took Gold in Cadet Mens Epee.
Logan & Silas both started the day strong in pools and continued the winning streak into the round of 8 where Silas lost a close bout and Logan pulled out a strong victory. Logan went on to take 3rd in Cadet earning a D18 rating and Silas in 5th! Peter also competed in the Cadet age group in Epee and went undefeated on the day. As the #1 seed he continued to win in impression fashion all the way to the finals where he pulled out a victory with a 2 point margin for the Gold.
The Westchester/Rockland USFA division also held the Summer Nationals Qualifier where Grace Hodges won the Y14 Womens Epee event with an undefeated record and qualified for Division III Womens Epee in a very competitive category.
