SYC Success for the Rockland Fencers Club
Over the weekend one of the largest SYC (Super Youth Circuit) competitions was held in Maryland. The Capitol Clash SYC is known for drawing highly rated fencers from the northeast and Peter Shine was able to fence his way to the top.
Peter started the day with a perfect 6-0 record, he won his next 4 direct elimination bouts and finished 6th out of the 123 youth 14 epee competitors. Brian Park and Logan Bobrow made it to the top 16 in the Y12 Epee and Foil competitions. Congratulations to all RFC fencers for the great results and continue to work hard as the Junior Olympics approach.
