Frank Sapienza Fences Strong at the Junior Olympics

Frank Sapienza who fences for the Rockland Fencers Club placed in the top 24 at the Junior Olympics, last weekend in Cleveland Ohio. Frank participated in the Junior Olympics Cadet Mens Epee Event against 256 competitors from around the nation.

Frank started the day determined and went 5-1 in pools giving him a 33rd seeding. Frank went on to win his next three Direct Elimination bouts with a bye, 15-14, 15-10, and an eventual 10-15 loss to the silver medalist Theodore Lombardo.

Frank has been making great improvments to his fencing strategy and is poised for a strong season in Juniors.
