The Rockland Fencers Club Hosted a Great Fencing Tournament

The Rockland Fencers Club hosted a great tournament over the weekend. Fencers from Clarkstown, Tappan, Nanuet, Nyack, New City, Fishkill NY, and multiple locations in New Jersey were all present at the RFC fencing tournament. The JCC Rockland provided a great location for the fencing tournament which included two Epee events, a Senior Mens Open & a Mixed Division II. The Senior Mens Epee tournament concluded with 2 RFC members in the top 3. Both Kirk Visser (Stevens Institute Fencing Team Member) and Bogdan Litvenenko both fenced strong throughout the day and lost to Danny Burke (recent graduate of Stevens Institute) who went on to win the event.

In the Division II event the RFC had 3 fencers in the top 4 with Michael Kang taking Silver, Julia Farah taking Bronze & Bogdan Litvenenko once again taking home a Bronze Medal. Congratulations to all those who fenced and competed at this event and we look forward to hosting more tournaments in the future.
